Don't Create Your Visual Identity Without Reading These Tips!

I think every entrepreneur gets super excited when starting their business.

As soon as someone has a brilliant business idea, they want to put it into practice at all costs, even if it means taking out a loan for it.

They invest in equipment, a designer, and sometimes, depending on the type of business, this can harm you in the long run, so it's important to organize financially before starting. Let's get to the tips?

Do you already know what you want?

Above all, before starting a business, you need to know a few things:

  • What kind of person do you want to serve (target audience)

  • What will be the style of your business (sophisticated, rustic, romantic, modern)

  • What do you intend to achieve with it, that is, how do you imagine yourself at the peak of this business.

Example: I want to have more than 10 franchises or I want to serve online and deliver in my city and surrounding areas. In short: know what you want initially. This is essential for your visual identity to be perfect and original.

What about the name?

What is the name of your business? You still don't know if you should use your name or a fantasy name?

Then I recommend looking into it more, after all, this name will be stamped all over your visual identity, if you don't like it, it's quite likely that in a few months you will request a new identity with another name.

Be careful!

You may be tempted to commission your visual identity with the first designer who offers you a low price, but be very careful!

A visual identity cannot be done in 3 days. It requires market knowledge, research, and analysis of the target audience.

This means that the designer will usually send you a briefing to fill out, will ask you some questions, like an interview.

The briefing is extremely important for this research, otherwise, the project can turn out bad, often due to lack of foundation and purpose.

Prefer designers who have a good portfolio and a professional attitude.

A good visual identity requires patience!

This is the main one of all. If you don't have patience and do everything in a hurry, the result will not be the best.

Try not to rush the designer who is working on your art because the professional's work is meticulous and is not based solely on the drawing, but on a series of research and studies so that everything turns out perfect!

We need to research to see if there is already a logo in the market with that format.

We need to know if the logo really speaks to the brand and if it's not generic.

The logo needs to convey emotion, that is, an ideal! A fundamental characteristic for excellent branding.

So, patience, care, and deep dedication when starting your creative process will make everything turn out right in the end!

Did you already know all these tips? Then it means you are more than ready to start this journey, woo-hoo! Congratulations!!!

Sometimes it takes a while because it's a one-person band here, but come on, it will be a success. Thanks for the reading and see you later!!
